  • Is there an entry fee?
    No, this event is free of charge for all participants.
  • Who is eligible to compete?
    The event is open to anyone who enjoys riding two wheels.
  • How is the route secured?
    Your safety is very important to us, which is why the route is monitored by security personnel and the German Red Cross.

  • Who is eligible to compete?
    The event is open to everyone. Hobby and licensed athletes are eligible to start at all distances! A club affiliation is not required. There is no separate classification for licensed and amateur athletes.

  • Which bike is permitted?
    Only mountain bikes are permitted for the SaarschleifenBike and the Ursapharm Company Championships, as the course is only suitable for mountain bikes. Please carry out your own safety check! Bikes with electric drive are not permitted for the MTB competitions (except e-bike competitions)!
    Please note that helmets are compulsory!
  • What are the requirements for e-bikes?

  • Disqualification
    The event is a success if everyone behaves considerately. In exceptional cases, the organizer has the right to exclude participants or impose other penalties. This applies in particular to health problems and gross breaches of the rules. Participants who are too slow can be removed from the race after exceeding the time limit.
  • How is the timekeeping done?
    The official timekeeping is carried out by BR-Timing (https://www.br-timing.de/cms/) by means of individual timekeeping using the transponder integrated in the handlebar number (block start = start time).
  • How is the route secured?
    Your safety is very important to us, which is why the route is monitored by security personnel and the German Red Cross.
  • Where can I park my car?
    Parking lot next to the Hotel zur Saarschleife
    Varadeser Park – 250m to the event site
    Primary school parking lot – 1000m to the event site
    Parking lot next to the sports hall – 950m to the event site
    Parking lot at Rewe Markt (Sunday only) – 400m to the event site

    The parking spaces directly at the Cloef-Atrium are not available. These are reserved for emergency services and the press and are only accessible with an entry permit!

  • Where can I park my camper van?
    Approx. 400m from the start and finish, in the parking lot at the rehabilitation clinic, there are camper van parking spaces with toilet facilities available for a fee. Water, electricity and lighting are not available.
    The approach is marked with appropriate signs from the traffic circle at the Cloef Atrium.

    There are also official camper van sites at the Abbey Brewery in Mettlach (road closures must of course be observed here).
    Approx. 3100m from the start and finish, the Orscholz youth campsite with toilets, showers and lighting is available for event participants. The site is suitable for campers and tents.

  • How do I redeem a voucher?
    It’s very simple: Take a photo of the voucher, briefly write that you want to redeem it for the next event, which route you want to take and your address and date of birth, and send everything to info@inmedia.info. We’ll take care of your registration.
  • What should I do if I am already registered but cannot take part?
    No problem! It can always happen. Just send us a medical certificate so that we can transfer your money back to you. Alternatively, you can transfer your starting place to another person – just let us know by email at info@inmedia.info and we will change the details for you.

    The routes run right across the Volcanic Eifel, with a large part of the route network of the Volcanic Eifel Trail Park being used. Highlights along the way are the double passage of the Maarsattel with magnificent views of the Daun maars and – for all routes except the Sport Track – the passage of the “Koulshore” trail technique course.

    The road traffic regulations apply on the public roads to be used. This applies in particular when crossing roads! Leaving the signposted route will result in disqualification. Escort vehicles are not permitted. There is an absolute ban on smoking and lighting fires in the forest! Furthermore, Appendix D of the WB-MTB, edition 04/2011: Environmental guidelines of the BDR applies.

  • Are doping controls to be expected?
    In the event of a doping control, a list of the start numbers of those athletes who must undergo a doping control will be posted at the finish line, at the refreshment area and at the entrance to the room designated for the control. Otherwise the anti-doping regulations of the BDR apply.
